Law School vs. Med School: Which Is Harder?

Devin Stone, the Legal Eagle himself, challenged me to a debate over which was harder: Med School or Law School. So he got a COVID test and came to New York to hold a mock trial face to face. Med School was BRUTAL, but I never spent a moment in law school so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Devin has debunked legal misinformation from famous movies like Legally Blonde and shows like Suits, so I was in for a challenge. Needless to say, Devin brought his A-game and showed me a thing or two. What do you think? Which is harder? Let me know in the comments.

  1. Easy. There’s a threshold of intelligence and accomplishments to get into ANY medical school. There are some suspect law schools out there that simply halve admissions standards but double the price

  2. Lawyers can have it harder in school too then this. Case and point: Paul Alexander. Contracted Polio when he was 6, placed in an Iron Lung, (and is still in an Iron Lung to this day), and still went to Law School. He has a book: Three Minutes For a Dog: My Life in an Iron Lung. That takes grit.

  3. Try going through being a nuclear operator. Nothing lower than an 80, go over stuff for a day and now you're a master, you'll be tested by people trying to trick you, have boards, mess up twice lose your job and wonder what you will do in life. If you do get through you are tested once a month for the rest of your life

  4. Well, I know several practicing doctors who are both. To give you an idea, one went to law school for fun in is spare time. And yes, he passed the bar.

  5. If only you knew, how difficult it is to go through cases, read judgements which can be sometimes around 50 or more pages, then refer statutes, refer similar cases in different legal jurisdictions, conventions, treaties, Constitution etc and then try to link them to the case at hand and try to present an argument to obliterate the opposing counsel.
Oh not to mention, the constant change in politics, ethics, technology etc, we have to keep up with.
